A relatively new trend that is taking the world by storm, a paint and sip might be just the thing for your next party or corporate event. It is hard to imagine a better way to bring people together than sharing an evening of wine and art in a relaxed setting. If you have never experienced one of these events, however, you might have some questions about how it all works. Here is what you need to know about the Paint and Sip.

Is It a Class or a Party?

The short answer is yes. A Paint and Sip combines the fun and relaxation of a party with the challenge of a class. Guided by one of our professional artists, you and your group will work at individual easels to create a masterpiece that is suitable for framing. Yet with the wine (or beer, if you prefer) flowing freely, the emphasis is definitely on the fun. We encourage conversation and laughter rather than serious focus.

Do I Need to Be an Artist?

Absolutely not! We have a vast library of paintings from which to choose, many of which are simple enough for even the true non-artist to create a reasonable representation. The goal is to open up and enjoy an evening of creative expression, regardless of existing artistic knowledge. We have regular attendees of all skill levels who enjoy the camaraderie and the opportunity to get their creative juices flowing. All we ask is that you maintain an open mind and a willingness to try something new!

Is a Paint and Sip Public or Private?

We actually offer both alternatives. Our public Paint and Sips are a wonderful way to meet new people, and we find that the painting process helps to break the ice between new friends. You are welcome to attend alone or with as many people as you like, but we recommend booking your seats in advance!

Private Paint and Sip events are highly popular for bachelorette parties, corporate events, holiday gatherings, and even family reunions. You can choose the painting you want to recreate, and even the location for the party. We are happy to host your group at our studio, but we can also send an artist to your home or to your choice of venues. Some groups even choose to incorporate a Paint and Sip as part of a larger company party, wedding reception, or other major event. We require a minimum of 12 participants for a weeknight or weekend day private event, and 15 participants on weekend evenings.

Do You Provide the Alcohol?

Paint and Sip parties are strictly BYOB. We can provide corkscrews and cups, but you are responsible for your own alcohol. You will also need to take any leftovers with you when you leave. Please note that only beer and wine are permitted inside our studio, but you are, of course, welcome to consume any alcohol you prefer at an event in your home or other venue.

Are Children Invited?

Children are welcome at our studio, but please note that a Paint and Sip is generally an adult-oriented event. If your kids are old enough to participate and enjoy adult conversation, bring them along! Otherwise, we recommend signing them up for one of our dedicated kids’ classes, where they will be able to let loose and have fun with others their own age. Of course, participants must be aged 21 or over to imbibe.

A Paint and Sip is a wonderful way to connect with old friends, build new relationships, or bring team members closer together. We provide the easels, aprons, paints, and supplies, while you provide the alcohol, the open mind, and the sense of adventure. Together, we can create an unforgettable experience that everyone in your group will be talking about for years to come!
